Is it possible to move a complete infrastructure to Microsoft Azure while reducing the execution time by ⅓? Clearly defined needs and knowledge of the Cloud and Azure area are enough to make this happen. What challenge did the SlickCloud team face and what steps did we take to make this project a reality? Read on and discover where our efficiency has exceeded expectations.
SlickCloud was approached by a client who needed help migrating the infrastructure of one of its leading gaming business partners. The goal was to migrate applications, database, network and additional resources from Google Cloud to Microsoft Azure. Our client needed the help of experts in this field, as they were not well acquainted with the two cloud platforms. The project was not marked as urgent, but its timely and efficient execution was crucial.
The biggest challenge turned out to be mapping specific Google Cloud services to their Microsoft Azure equivalents, which was key to ensuring that applications continue to run without any downtime. Not all services had direct equivalents, which required our experts to have the technical expertise to design a new architecture that met the client’s needs.
To address the challenge of migrating infrastructure from Google Cloud to Microsoft Azure, our team used a proven approach, breaking down the process into three key steps:
The deliverable of our work was a successfully completed infrastructure migration to Microsoft Azure, which we accomplished without any downtime or disruptions in the operation of the application. One of the most notable achievements of our project was that it was completed one month earlier than originally planned. This demonstrated our efficiency and experience in implementing such projects.
Moving applications from Google Cloud to Microsoft Azure proved to be quite a challenge, which we accomplished without any glitches. With the knowledge and experience of our experts, we exceeded our client’s expectations, migrating the infrastructure to Microsoft Azure without downtime or interruption of the continuous operation of the application.
